NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARINGS CITY OF TEXARKANA, TX FIVE-YEAR CONSOLIDATED PLAN AND ANNUAL ACTION PLAN
The City of Texarkana, TX is undertaking the planning process for submission of its 5-year Consolidated Plan to the U. S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD). The Consolidated Plan is the planning and application requirement for the City’s Community Development Block Grant (CDBG). The Consolidated Plan includes a 5-year Strategic Plan and a 1-year Action Plan that describes how CDBG funding will be used to meet housing and community development needs. The Consolidated Plan provides the needs analysis and priorities used to guide the development of Annual Action Plans.
The purpose of this notice is to announce times and locations of public hearings for the planning process for the 5-year Consolidated Plan and the 2023/2027 Annual Action Plan.

Monday, May 1, 2023 6:00pm Collins Center, 3000 Texas Boulevard
Tuesday, May 2, 2023 6:00pm Vero’s Latino Store, 2106 New Boston Rd
Thursday, May 4, 2023 6:00pm Village Community of Txk, 1611 N Robison Rd
Monday, June 12, 2023 6:00pm City Council Chambers at City Hall
Monday, July 10, 2023 6:00pm City Council Chambers at City Hall
The public is invited to provide information on community needs and priorities for CDBG funding.
Residents are encouraged to complete a survey on the City’s website. The survey can be accessed at: https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/TXKNeeds or https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/TXKNeed-Spanish
A draft Consolidated Plan and Annual Action Plan will be available for public review on June 10, 2023 at City Hall and on the City’s website. The public comment period will be from June 10, 2023 to July 11, 2023.
